Pretty scary!
We did have that great white that ran up the Gulf coast last summer, but in reality we are not going to encounter one yaking out a bait. ( Never say never). If you look at the posts about that whale with the big bit marks, the great whites seem to hit these targets from below and with force - maybe the yak looks like a big mammal. East coast Florida probably is a bigger concern.
What I want to know is the likely hood of that happening with what we fish for - Tigers, Bulls and Hammers. I haven't read of a boat being attacked by one of these species - well, there was one utube video that showed a hammer messing with a a kayak. I have nearly been hit by accident by a blacktip - chasing bait. Maybe it is that little bit of doubt that makes this sport what it is. - big game hunting. Sometimes the hunted becomes the hunter, and really, they do have the advantage.
