I had to leave in the middle of my trip to florida due to mandatory evacuations. There is still a chance that we could return for the rest of the trip if the power returns, but i'm not holding my breath....

We were going to ride it out when the local cops rode up and gave us to 5 to be out of our house and off the island..at least as long as the evacuation is mandatory we will be reimbursed.

You just gotta remember that rain no matter how much is a good thing. Even in the rain you can enjoy the great outdoors. I was out in the swamp hog hunting and camping all weekend. Never stopped pouring once and the mosquitos were horrible but still had a great time. Even if you dont hunt I seen some pictures of some guys kayaking in the street. Shoot, when I was a kid with the hurricanes we would grab some boogie boards and drag them behind the trucks or innertube down the street. There is always a way to have fun you just gotta git creative.

Thats true but getting poured on + whipping winds = not a fun time on the beach

Folk lore passed down from great grandfather who was a farmer. When the moon is on its back, weather will be bad.

Have a look at the moon tonight.

I was planning a trip this week to Myers, put it off a couple weeks because of the moon.

Moon will be flat on its back or turned up to the riight. Totally on its back look out!
