We are putting in the time and its paying off another 2 shark night and we are not stopping until the very end trying to beat that 13'-2" hammer is a big challenge (congrats guys on that big hammer) but I told the guys just fish hard and try to beat your own record and at the end let the chips fall where they may. I have engineered a Great Group of Guys to form this team and without them I would have not fished this tourney, Thanks Guys. This Shark was caught on 80lb. test on a penn 12/0 and it burned the drag washers need to update to ht100 drags.

Team Sharks After Dark
It's been a rough week on the beach but well worth it. Even though only 2 anglers on the team have brought in sharks, most of the credit goes to our teammate, Clint Childs, who has been out on the water every day and all night long kayaking out bait 500 yards off shore for the last 7 days running on 2 hour naps here and there. So here are sharks # 2 through 5. The last blacktip was caught off the Pier at an Inlet and we had to try to bring it up on a small stretch of sand in the inlet. Unfortunately, only 2 of us could get down the rocks at first as we got pounded by waves over our head and then the camera failed. We had to have a cell phone thrown down to us to get some pics and they came out like crap but hey, not every catch and release is an ideal situation.
Angler: Melinda Colon
Species: Hammer
Length: 108" (9ft)
From Beach
Note: Brought this one in pretty quick. It was on the shore in 15 minutes and was sweeping my foot with it's head while trying to get measurements. It turned it's head to the water, smacked us with it's tail and hauled butt back out to sea. Great job to my teammates for an excellent healthy release!
