caught and released this big male the other day on the yak! 6ft+ model, biggest i've seen so far, and its a male, would like to see the females it breeds with. we were about 2 miles off shore trolling back from a reef when it hit a big 16" hardtail i had rigged up behind me.

i was trolling a big hardtail with a skirt for wahoo or sails and he hit it. not sure if its even a black tip really. by external features i can say with 80% certainty that it is. but its teeth were different than any black tip i've caught and its dorsal was rounded. here's a couple more pics.
