June Trip to Pompano

I am coming down to Pompano Beach, Florida, for 2 weeks in June. Last year on my trip, I caught my first 2 salt water fish ever, which were 2 smaller 3ft. nurse sharks. I caught them using goggle eye heads, that I was casting off the inlet rocks.

This year I am hoping to amp it up a bit, and catch more sharks and maybe bigger sharks. But I am worried about fishing in June, because I hear sharking slows down in summer a lot.

Is there still any good shark fishing to be had, any where along the east coast of Florida at this time of year. I am trying to gather as much information as I possibly can before I go down there to be able to have a successful shark fishing trip.

Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

Thankyou everyone, and have an awesome week!

Ray

The summer of 2013 was great in Pompano for good size fun fish. We were gettin stuff on casted baits. Then the summer of 2014 was SLOW. Lots of time on the sand over there and only a few lemons and Tippers to show for it. Ended up with bigger fish in the fall. It was very different from the year before.

I drove around a lot last summer. Got tippers and a nurse in WPB area missed a tiger but also has some nights without any big hits.

There should be some stuff around this year unless they just packed up and moved LOL!
Hit me up, I can meet you in Pompano
