This is the biggest one I have ever seen. Tom Kieras caught this massive 8'11" pregnant female.

Biggest I have caught is around 8'6 but I know of one over 10ft caught about 4 years back at anclote pier, no pics though....
i caught a 10 fter but never took a picture of it.....that ate a spot i sent out hashahaha

TKShark reeled this one in. I took the leader and then the tail. This fish was HEAVY! Didnt measure it but it was easily over 7ft and maybe over 8ft.
I got one in Key West on a 6/0 that fought really good, super fat more than likely pregnant, around 9ft. Later that night we started catching foot long nurse sharks on snapper riggings... no pictures though... but this is the biggest one I can remember getting a picture of... me and Jimmy both got them around the same size... 8 and a half footers.

Sometime Around The Late 90's Rene, Young Shannon, & Myself Helped Rene Do A Documentary On Sharks Of Miami ( For German T.V. ) Rene Went Out Of Goverment Cut Around The Jettys And Caught A BIG NURSE. Easy 8+Feet We Beached It And Rene Reeled It In On His 14/0 From Land So The Research Film Showed He Caught It From Land. The Funnyist Thing I Can Remember From This Besides Scamming The Researchers Was Rene Yelling At The Film Guy Saying "Thoose Arent Teeth Thoose Are Jaws!"

I caught one of those also, a little longer but it didnt fight at all.That could have been because of the 1LB weight and 80Lb braid I was using though
