Hi Guys, I currently only have surf gear and I want to get a bigger set up. I think I am going to buy an Avet 50 EXW. I am spending a bit more than I'd like to on the reel and I am Canadian so I'm paying a 30% premium because of the exchange rate (fml), so I was wondering if you have any suggestions on a rod to buy with it that is inexpensive but will still get the job done.

Yet to land a shark on it yet but I recently picked up an Okuma Solterra 24-36kg (50-80lb) stand-up rod for $100AUD.
It's Graphite so won't be as good at handling abuse but it's crazy light (suits me because I can't afford a harness yet), seems to load up well when testing it against my Bullbar and has a nice strong metal reel seat that fits my 50w nicely.
