Any old fisherman ritual to stop bad luck?

i v been having unreel bad luck while fishing, mysterious cut offs, fish running thru my line and cutting of 300-400 yards of my line (it happened twice last night), fish bites the bait but not the hook, boats running over my line... While my friends will be landing 7ft+ shark right next to me, i will be retying some more top shot or a new rig because something cut me of. Or i ll be sitting at the beach with 3 rods in the water, and my friend will be using one rod and land 2 fish while my baits will be soaked all night without getting touched. I know that fishing is hard and takes a lot of time, but when i compare myself with my friends, it s kind of funny to see the difference,he ll be fighting a fish and i ll be making a new rig. The worst part is that i will tie their knots and hook their baits, so it means that i have a little bit of an idea of what i am doing. It feels like their is always something trying to stop me, something holding me back, it feels like i am stuck and can t stop having bad breaks. The biggest shark i landed of a 6ft something bull shark. And i fish more than most people around here. Is there any kind of ritual or anything to lift a curse?

I've always figured that shark fishing is a team thing. My buddies and I work together and take turns on the rod. If someone brings in a fish, it's our fish. If we have a bad night together' it' s our bad night. We had a bad couple of weeks on the sand and I chalk it up to luck. Gotta stick it out, there is nothing else to be done. I relish the time on the beach, a warm night with the wind on your face, a couple cool ones as the best part of the night anyway. Sharks are a bonus.

I have a shark tooth that i wear for good luck in fishing, Before each trip I burn sage with the tooth hanging over it, this cleanses it of any bad and allows good to enter.
Also I am a believer that a bad day fishing is always better than a good day at work. (unless your work is tagging sharks like a post I read earlier) lol

Start thinking scientifically. A weakness isn't a weakness if you cover for it, A problem's not a problem if you have a solution, but you'll never identify the weakness or the problem if your not looking for it and are just attributing it to luck.

Problem 1: Mysterious break-offs

Are there bluefish in your area? Notorious for biting line and causing mysterious break-offs
Are you using braid if so what pound test and what color? I personally find that in blue fish heavy areas white braid gets messed with less
Are there lots of rocks or underwater debris? Try snorkeling or diving the area in the daytime if possible to see what's there. Mono is more abrasion resistant than braid try a higher test (Not within a day or 2 of having handling bait lol I stopped surfing within a day or two after I shark fish had a tipper blowup on me couldn't figure out why lol bloody hands? prolly bloody board from paddlin bait more likely lol)
How far apart are your buddies setup's from yours? 20yards makes a difference watch the current possible your bait was on a sand bar and his a ledge

Fishing is all about puttin your time in! But the more you pay attention think scientifically and problem solve the better quality your time. Think about it if you fish with me for thirty hours that's puttin your time in. If you fish with William the moderator that's puttin time in of a higher quality! So keep at it! Keep puttin your time in! but fish hard and smart! Pay attention write down everything that might be relevant location, tide, time, bait type, all that stuff! and then when you catch the first shark of the trip write down all the info from that catch. The first bite is never an accident and will tell you alot! Don't quit just fish hard and smart! The MORE info you give us the better we can help and encourage ya! and a team is great to because they can help you think outside the box and encourage you when you get discouraged.
