What to do when it rains

Got the day off from school/work/kids, whatever that prevents u from going all the time and the forecast calls for storms :( It sucks when all your gear gets soaked, and most places u can't hear your drag scream from your car. What do u do on these days/nights ? Build leaders ? Snag rays ? Go to local tackle shop and drool over superior equipment ? Finally give wifey the attention we always deprive them of ? Or just man up and fish through it ? What do u do ?

the rain has never stopped me from fishing. a pop up canopy sure makes it a little better during the rain just make sure to stake it down. The sharks don't mind the rain as they already wet lol.

If you can see your rod from the truck and its a reasonable distance so you can reach the rod in time then tie a glow stick to your line at the rod's tip if the glow stick moves toward the ocean or disappears all together then run and set the hook. The battery powered glow sticks shut off automatic after like 45 minutes though (ask me how I know lol) "Ay bruh wheres da light" me sayin "damn bruh" nd sprintin a 100 yards to da rod and my line hasnt moved  good workout though!

good post BiggTrave, I use glow sticks all the time but i put on tip of pole not line. makes it easier to tell which rod is screaming at night. started that during turtle season as you cant have lights during that time period where we fish.
