SUGGESTIONS FOR LINE

I RECENTLY BOUGHT TWO 80W'S AND NOW I NEED TO STRING EM UP WITH 130LB MONO.

LOOKING FOR SOME OPINIONS:

1) I ONLY SHARK FISH A FEW TIMES A YEAR, AS I LIVE IN PITTSBURGH. SO I DONT SEE THE NEED TO SPEND A ON ON LINE. ANY SUGGEATIONS AS FAR AS BRANDS GO?

2)WOULD YOU PUT BRAID BACKING ON? THEY HAVE THE CAPACITY OF 950 YARDS ON 80LB MONO. IF SO CAN I HEAR SOME SUGGEATIONS?

Favorites around here are PowerPro braid and Bullbuster mono. I'm experimenting with all types of lie right now, so I don't have an answer for you yet.

When a angler purchasers a Avet 80, we will spool it up with 600yrds of 130lb Jerry brown with 400yards of 130lb mono. This is a very good combination. Some prefer more braid so we will accommodate.

For us Jerry brown Is the go to braid. We stop selling power pro due to to many break offs and poor customer service.

We don't have Jerry brown up on the site but we do sell it.

We highly recommend 130 hollow JB or 200 hollow JB.

We offer free spooling with our Avets.

I dont know what brand of reel you have, but I just bought a Makaira 80wII and loaded it with 700 yds of 200lb Jerry Brown Single Strand Braid and filled the rest with 200lb Bullbuster mono. Its a hefty price but is a good investment. After your mono gets some wear in it you can replace it without having to replace all your line. And the braid gives you extra line.

If you are looking to go with the 130lb mono I would just fill up with straight bullbuster. This is the set up that I have on my 14/0 and it is great. Bullbuster is cheap, but I have had no problems at all with it.
