8'9 Bull - Jason Yellin
I just wanted to inform you that there is something wrong about this shark and its measurements, it is possible that the wrong picture was posted or that you meant to say the shark was 89inches total which would be 7ft 5, which is about what it looks like after I took the time to measure it. I'm not the first to notice it or accusing you of anything, I would just rather warn you before the shark gets disqualified, you still have time to make corrections since not too many people noticed it yet.
The shark is indeed 8'9" not 89 inches. This shark was the first of the night, and our first as a team. I totally agree that the picture is poor, because the fish isn't straight. The fish's head is turned back towards the angler which makes it look deceptively smaller, and the tape was twisted in front of the dorsal fin.
The red mark two inches behind the front of the dorsal is the three foot mark on the tape. There is clearly 5'9" of tape showing from this point of the dorsal to the tip of the tail.
If you notice the second bull shark, the same part of the dorsal is at about the 2'8" mark on the tape, meaning that from this point to the tail is only 5'1" on a 7'9" bull shark.
We do agree that our pictures sucked on the first shark. We improved on our second shark, and I believe we finally got it right on the third shark. Due to our poor pictures, we understand if our first shark gets disqualified, but hopefully it won't.
Just got back from fishing.team dirty south caught another shark over 8 ft and non shark that might be a Lil bigger than the snook and jack caught pics will be up hopefully tomarrow
