Congrats to everyone catching sharks and still trying, Tyler congrats on that tiger, Ken nice Bull I predict a nice shark being caught this week the wind finally died tonight and will be dead until Fri according to noaa , I think the big boys will be showing up this year in May cause we were still having really cold temperatures in late March so I think the big sharks will show up a little late looking for the warmer water, good luck to everyone and tight lines

On a day when the weather man said it was gonna rain "cat and dogs" Team Shark Fever saw an Oppurtunity to finally fish with a milder surf sweetened by the downpour. The rain I believe often triggers a strong movement of sharks along the coast to mate and in and out of Inlets to feed and bare there pups .Changes in the envirement/weather are worthy times to target sharks,,,,you watch and learn over the years what to look for, when to pull the trigger. As the bright moon crept out of the sea and lit up the scene before our eyes the action turned on near the 1 am high tide.
We mangaed to stay out of the rain and my Team mate Ryan and I were joined by my nephew Jorgey who is on Team BlackFin and a friend of his for a few hours. We ended the night with 2 sharks caught one by Ryan an 8 ft 7 inch Tiger that came in with a old tag that was cut off and a new one inserted by Ryan.Tagging sharks has always been part of what we do to help in shark research and on this night we tagged two sharks and recovered one tag from the tiger which will help scientist better understnd shark migrations ,range of movements, and growth rate.Next year for the 2014 BHC we will have our own BHC Tournament inscribed NMFS shark tags. A little later the long drop rod gets a stong steady run and I'm hoping for King Kong but instead I catch a hush puppy 6 ft 8 inch Bull Shark that ate the 20 lb AJ head I had reserved on a super long drop for a MonStaH.
