Nice write up Rico, that's one hell of a jewfish... thing looks like it's got skin cancer. That scallop looks really strange, definitely different from hammers I've seen. Just an update, as far as the people I know fishing (not all in this tournament) the tiger count was 24 total combined with other groups fishing in the same general area.

Just an average fisherman.

Just to give some more details on the 13'3" Hammer, Yes the reel did get hot. It was so hot you could feel it all the way through the handle. Yea i fish braid with a topshot of mono. We caught in on a 20/O circle hook right in the corner of the mouth. With the first initial run of the fish it turned back and charged the beach. Then fought in long strides from left to right. Overall the whole fight, the longest distance it was out was about 1000 yards.

I have thought and thought on how to compliment you guys on the 17 tiger night    I cannot find the words to describe the great accomplishment you guys did of catching that many tigers in one night. I am awe struck.....Congratulations just doesn't seem to be enough. That is a night that will go down in history for landbased sharkers. :D :D

I'm also awe struck at the continuous amount of sharks that are being posted. Congratulations to each team on their successes!! The tourney has had amazing catches...multiple double hook ups on big sharks, Monster Greater Hammers, a Scalloped Hammer, Big Tigers, Bulls, Lemons, Black tips, Giant Goliath Grouper and more!! Just crazy...You guys and gals are really on fire! Just great to be apart of the fun and watch history in the making!

Keep the pictures coming and hope to see a couple more monsters on the sand before the tourney is over!!

Never Give Up,
LaSharkHunter

I keep trying my old spot cause I know their's a BIG BULL some where in the vicinity but i'm ending up with a bit of disappointment. I used to frequent that spot as a teenager almost every week and one night got nailed on a piece of T***** . It broke off my line cause I had tied two lines together. I call that spot mosquitosville
