Nice catches through the second week everyone. When the surf is too high where your Team is used to fishing look for the solution on the opposite coast or maybe and inlet or bay.Hopefully we will have nicer weather then what we have had in the south end of the state for the remainder of the tournament. The panhandle is warming up and we have a report from some SFSC members up in that area which will include a hammerhead shark.

TIP OF THE WEEK,,,,crackin open the East Coast

Soon the heavy surf will die down by Thursday or Friday and the east coast beaches from Ft Pierce south have been producing cosecutive multi hammer and tiger nights for those willing to put in the time so take this advise and hit the east coast beaches hard as soon as weather permits if you want to catch striped ones and hammers and maybe take the lead which is currently held by Jd Fagan at 10 ft 10 inch. FULL MOON THIS WEEKEND MEANS THE MONSTER HAMMER   AWAITS TO CRUSH THE AVET WIELDING YOUNG WHIPPER SNAPPERS :ugeek: :ugeek: AND THE OLDER STUCK ON SENATORS FISHO'S AS WELL    ah it's all so great you just never know when he will appear and another story pops up of the BEAST that smoked the unsuspecting ;)

THE freakin  400 MILE NURSE CURSE

Another worthy effort combined with Jd Hammer we had fresh bonitas and fresh Aj's so we headed west to fish the less turbulent west coast beaches but the final result was less then impressive with one Nurse for me, and one for Jd.He will post his later when he gets back to the east coast.

Angler William Fundora Team 'Shark Fever'

Hey Noe nice catches and from the pier but the nurse sharks only count for Team and individual totals.

We went last night and caught this nice size lemon from a bridge.

Sorry for the confusion but you have to realize that spot we were in is invaded by mosquitos and makes it difficult to fish and measuring is even more difficult then normal.

Well I almost hate to make this post :(..... Its tourney time and we all miss some big ones during the tourney but I just had to share this. I waited for the perfect time to hit one of my bay spots which means the gulf needs to be super rough, a full moon and super high tide. This particular spot is about 15 miles from any inlet to the gulf and I really don't know why it is usually good to me. Not known for big fish but usually good for numbers. My first run was around 1:30pm on the start of the outgoing tide but the fish dropped the bait. It came back about 15mins later and definitely wasn't stopping this time! When I setup on the fish it threw water everywhere! Amazing! I didn't know what it was. The fish didn't fight that hard just violent head shakes and throwing water the whole way in from about 300yds out. When I got it to the flat is when the fight started and it was intense...I really didn't know what I had until I got the trace in my hand and I was like    HUGE bull! Biggest I've ever had on or seen! Well I worked her into the shoreline and grabbed the wire....she was mad! When I felt it was time to tail her she made another violent headshake and out comes the hook!!! I thought this can't be happening!!! Then she threw water everywhere and was off to the deep. I just sat down in the sand and had a moment :( :( . This is the 4th BIG fish we have lost of the tourney. We are fishing our hearts out. Bodies are beat up to hell and we are super sleep deprived...But we are not giving up till its over.

We did manage a couple smaller bulls.

Team Jurassic #5
Angler Troy Coupel (4th Fish)
Shark -- Bull 5ft 4in ( a little guy )

Team Jurasic #6
Angler Diana Coupel (2nd Fish)
Shark -- Bull 6ft 5in

Keep the sharks coming and good luck to each team!

SUPER MOON MEANS SUPER HAMMER

It's time to make a dash for the finish line with just over a week left to fish the Big Hammer Challenge.Time to seek out our theory on the full Moon Hammer and make it happen once again. We hope everyone is fishing hard this weekend and looking to hook up with the winning fish of the tourney,,,,the big boy is still out there.

Troy I wish you would of caught that big ole bull we need one over 9 ft 2 inch to break our tourney record.Anna Maria Anglers are tearing up the fish on the Pier Category they look to be the possible winners unless Team lake Worth Sharkkers step up there game plan.Jd Hammer always with the good karma catches sharks when no one else can in the rough stuff w weeds piling up on the lines he makes it look simple. There is a reason James Fuqua is a legend in our sport and once you meet him and observe him in action you know right away he's got that something special,,,,,,thanks for the comments partner.Good luck to everyone heading out to do some weekend shark fishing in the BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE.
