Looks like the wranglers is the new owners of an avet 80w. Congrats. Timmyt and that pier he is fishin may be the only threat. Our tigers are fat but its hard to come by a 13'er. A bit early for hammers here. Anyway it goes hammer or tiger a 13' fish is not something ya can just come up with. Everyone is gunning for second, or first looser, which ever way ya want look at it. Personaly I am looking for that first looser spot.

Folks we're not throwing in the towel at all .We are motivated to catch a WORLD RECORD SIZED hammerhead .Please look at the name of this Tournament it is the the "BIG HAMMER CHALLENGE" and much thought was given to the name given and the time of the year was as important when we decided to put together this event.Giant hammerhead sharks far bigger then 12 ft 10 1/2 inches are out there right now feeding on schools of tarpon and yes some are pushing 1500,1600 pounds and 15 ,16 feet. This tournament was designed for those folks who are willing to tangle with the baddest ,meanest ,strongest pulling fish in the world -the hammerhead shark at a time of the year when they are most actively feeding. The internet ,this website and this tournament have opened peoples eyes to the pulling power of the giant hammerhead sharks and the angler skills needed to catch one.The senior members of the South Florida Shark Club have lived this shark fishing lifestyle and have expierienced giant hammers for decades but after so many years of this being insider knowledge we have been able through this tournament to introduce many shark fishermen in Florida to the joy of tangling with powerful giants from shore. Those giant hammers are here now and the knowledgeble sharker willing to push himself and put forth the effort can catch them with much luck of course .I will advise all to fish hard and don't give up the win just yet.Pack your reels to the brim and search out the giant hammers where they are known to be RIGHT NOW and before the end of the BHC on May 14th 2011.
CATCH A MONSTER
GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND PLEASE BE SAFE WHILE FISHING THIS TOURNAMENT

Will you are 100% CORRECT. I haven't even tried landing sharks that don't feel over 10ft. I only want one beast and that is all. I will be fishing harder then ever with my modified 12 Everol (significant drag pressure added) stacked with braid and if I can hook up with that monster hammer, he better watch out. Don't give up everyone, crazier things have happened.
