TEAM KNOT SHORE - 7' 10" Hammerhead 4-19-11
EDDIE hooks up with the first Hammer for 'Team Knot Shore' on Tuesday. He is using an AVET 50 reel (stuffed with 80lb mono). Jason, George & Johnathan provide support.
Larry 'Abdulla' Ross oversees this 7ft 10in Hammerhead as Eddie & Jason get tape on her. George assisted us with the props.
Better tape markings makes all the difference!
She made sure to get our undivided attention!

TEAM DIRTY SOUTH GIRLS
Went out with dirty South boys and caught my biggest shark ever 8' 7" Nurse , thanks to my husband ( Seawolf, clack, clack, clack, and sand tiger).
At daylight caught my second shark a 7' 5" nurse
also thanks to my teamates Diana, and Sandra.

The sand tiger was mistakenly identified as a dusky but hey we are not born knowing all the diffefrent shark species.Well so far it seems a hammer caught yesterday by Team Lake Worth Sharkers at 10 foot something is the current leader for the first week .Timmy t will post the shark later today and we will put up the leaderboard as soon as possible. One thing for sure the bar has been raised with a 10 foot hammer in the first week .Time to turn the heat on and "Git er done".
GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS AND PLEASE BE SAFE

Lake Worth Sharkers on the board again.
First off we have Eddy on a 8' 9" Tiger Shark. His first tiger ever. He took one nice run on the 14/0 to start the fight. Eddy was fighting with 2 bruised ribs, yet still put a hurting on the tiger, but he was feeling the shark for the rest of the night.

Dehooking, shark was barely barely hooked
Second, Tim got a nurse on the 16/0

Shot 6'10"
As we were taking care of nurse, my 14/0 gets a smoking run (the last one it would ever have). Run over and go to set the hook. THE ENGAGE LEVER FALLS OFF! Shark is slowly dumping the reel while I could do nothing. Using a pair of pliers to engage the reel and busted my lip. Survivor from Team Palm Beach Shark Slayas finally got the reel engaged and the fight was on. The chrome spool was warped (not sure when this happened) and every crank was digging the spool into the sideplate. Once he hit the sandbar, he finally put some bend in the rod.
8'8" Hammerhead. My biggest to date.
Video showing us finally getting the reel engaged
Nice bend on my 80-130 Gator that I just built
Full length shot 8'8"
Tail shot
Overall it was great night, first tiger for Eddy and my biggest hammer to date.
