I almost died of hypothermia today on the beach,Maybe im exagerating, but it was really bad. I didnt want to let my team down, and took baits out in 5-6 foot waves under pitch black louds with non stop rain. When i got back to shore i had no shirt no nothing and the rain and wind was hard,swift and freezing, iwrapped up in a tarp and layed down freezing , untill a friend came and checked on me from the car. He said i wasnt responding to him for like 30 seconds, i knew it was time to go after that......

Team Apex finally gets to post a shark report. Woke up to snotty rain, wind and rough seas. Big surprise! Decided to head south and just deal with it. First new spot sign says no fishing, great. Next spot no fishing or trespassing awesome. Next spot no dogs, bottles or fishing and somebody left a dead headless chicken on the beach, WTF. Some kind of voodoo. So much for public beaches, I am glad I pay taxes. Anyway found a new spot with a designated fishing pier and got on with our day. High tide came and the current was ripping so bad we had to tie our rods to the bench to keep them from shooting off into the deep blue. Slack tide is when the bull slammed a half ‘cuda on my 80w. Fought him for about 15 minutes. When I got him close all I could see was about 100 pounds of seaweed and thought I was skunked. Hahaha everybody was laughing until the seaweed took off again. Got him to the rocks and didn’t want to hurt him so we did all the pics and measurements in the water. Floated him off pushed his head out and he swam away, perfect day for us. Maybe the headless voodoo chicken gave us good luck. Only in MIA.

TEAM LOW BUDGET has 3 black tips and a nurse all caught from a peir. the nurse is also our bid for biggest on 80lb for now ill post pics as soon as i can figure out why they arnt showing up.

first black tip 5ft 5 inch and 2nd was 5 ft 9 inch both caught by kevin the 5ft 9inch was caught with a 950 penn spinning reel
