I had a great time, it was nice to meet everyone from team apex, salt trash, black bart, reelemin, and all the others.
The food was great, especially the ribs and jumbo shrimps!!! The awards were awesome i like my trophies more than the 500 cash!!!!
This tournament had great competition, great great prizes, great food, and best of all outstanding down to earth people. I can honestly say that i went up against, and fished side by side with the cream of the crop when it comes to land based shark fishing.
This sport is not nearly as popular and big as it can get, so its up to all of us to stick together and have each others back so that one day we can have tournaments in the same breath as some of the dolphin, sailfish and tarpon tournaments.
I am a firm believer of releasing our sharks and some how coming together to petition some of these long line rules that are allowing these killers to rape the ocean of what little sharks are left. because if we stay quiet we will be a bass fishing group and there will be no more sharks.
We can always disagree with one another, may it be on boatless, on a bridge in person, on this website, wherever, however the arguing and fighting must stop. We have to work together since there are so few land based shark fisherman around, a group of 5 preaching good for our sport goes unnoticed, however a team of 150 + loud voices
getting together with NOAA and other organizations who notice the dangerously low shark numbers, will stir up controversy with these long liners.
A bit off subject but hopefully you will all agree, thank you Will for a great tournament and to salt trash and black bart, Next year i will try to give you a run for the beach numbers because that gap was to huge lol.
I will dedicate half of my full time bridge fishing, for some Miami beach - Jensen Beach fishing.
See you guys at the shore bound!!!!
