Seagrove Report

The family and I made a last minute trip down to seagrove beach after having our other trip cut short by a week due to tropical storm debby. This was more of a family vacation, but I did manage to get some fishing in. There is nothing to report on the end of sharks this week. It was very strange. Every night I soaked baits like fresh Bonita and Spanish Mackerel and they wouldn't even get touched. There was no marks from crabs or pup sharks. Some locals that were around said that this was strange, as this area is usually known for sharks. I went snorkeling towards the end of the week. When I dove about 20 feet down I found that after about 15 feet the water was FREEZING. Don't know if this was because of tropical storm debby or if it had anything to do with no sharks being caught, but I would assume so. The Bonita provided some good action from the kayak during the week.

The surf looked great...

The Spanish and Bonita provided some fun action

Until next time.
