Going BULL crazy

steves bull was hooked in the mouth and behind the gills. so the pull was a bit odd

The first hook got it in the mouth and the second hook got it while fighting. That is how ya rigs get stretched and hooks get bent. some of the draw backs on 2 hooks. another bad point is the roap. if the head roap gets the second hook ya got problems, especialy on a pier or dock. One of my team mates have been useing a single circle hook and his hook up rate is as good as any. I will be watching him a while befor i go totaly circle. I have been using a combination and setting the hook as normal, the last 4 fish the circle had them and the 12/0 J was dangeling. I see a change on the horizon. much easier release with alot less damage to the fish on the circle hooks. Joeys big tiger was hooked in the mouth with rear hook and in the side with the top hook kinda like ya bull. Yall having a realy good year. Fish hard, catch fish.
