GEORGIA SHARKING IS ABOUT TO GET HOT

Hey guys. We had a great spring break, fishing with JD and Johnathan, catching the first shark of the season, and snagging aton of bait!! Me (adam), Kyle, Cameron, and Patrick had gotten word that the cownose were running heavy of the St simons island pier,so we decided to head down with our snag rigs. Saturday they were rolling, but not as heavy as we would have liked. we got 25 , mostly small, and lost a few big ones.

We decided to go back on Sunday to get some more, this time we brought along Patrick, and one of Kyle's friends from out of town, Michael.
Cam headed down to the pier early and snagged the first ray of the day, then i came down a little later and got the second. We waited and waited for what must have been an hour and we didnt see any! then suddenly the schools started rolling in. Me and cam were loading up. I got tired of the small ones, so i walked down by the cleaning table and saw a school of them all over 35 lbs. So i cast my saltist into it and just get railed. I had it subdued and cam was dropping the gaf on it, but it flapped one time and my treble flew out. After that we went back down and snagged aton more smaller ones and then patrick started to blind cast and reel his snag rig along the bottom, and on his first cast he got smoked. We had 5 30 lbers in quick. 54 rays on sunday.

While we were busy snagging rays i got a call from my friend Bo who said they were going sharking. It was Bo, Rett, Cullen, and Gil. Gil paddled out his bait 450 yards with a small 3 lb bonita for bait and caught this 5.5 to 6 ft sand tiger!! first shark of the season!!

Get ready for some more posts!! Shark fishing should be getting heated up here within the next few weeks!! Waters are just now hitting 70 degrees!
