Blacktip on light tackle

Havent fished for sharks specifically for a while since I have been targeting other species, but I decided to go to my shark spot since the weather is getting cooler and sharks are getting closer to the shore. I caught a +57'' blacktip shark(42.6lbs on my digital scale) from land on a Penn 320GTI reel with 40lb test monofilament and 3ft wire leader with 5/0 hook.Fight took about 10-20 minutes with the shark leaping out of the water several times like it was a tarpon.I released it after taking measurements and taking a couple pics.I will post more reports as we get deeper into the Fall/Winter since this is the time of year I get most of my land based sharks.
