first trip of the year! what a way to start!

started off at our bait spot cast netting mullet. first cast an we where set! we stuck around there playing with some snook till the tides change for the good, my little brother had a lot of fun playing with a couple of smaller snook

the bite was good enough they hit the fly too

after the tides swapped we headed off to the bridge, we arrived just as the tides where slowing down an ballooned out our baits.. I left mine on the surface, after a little wait the 10/0's clicker took off. the fish took off as soon as it hit the bait, I picked up the rod an set the hook. it was game on! the fish took a very good first run once it was calmed down I lightened off the drag and let the lil bro fight it awhile. gotta start them young he loves fishing especially shark!!! well after a while they where both tired an the shark was straight up an down. time for the task of beaching it... walked it down almost to the beach an there was a construction scaffolding hanging off the bridge, the shark made its final run almost cutting us off on it but I turned its head, finally at the beach there was a couple of spectators by now; they where an awesome help and took some great pictures couldn't ask for a better night!! what a way to kick off the new year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now for pics of the shark!

the rod in the pic is 8 foot

Nice fish. Might be a sandbar though.

Looks like a sandbar to me. But nice shark nonetheless.
