Employees At 4 Restaurants Cited For Buying Illegal Fish

FWC Says 5 Employees Bought Snook From Undercover Investigators

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Five employees at four Palm Beach County restaurants face misdemeanor charges as a result of a five-month investigation by state investigators into the illegal buying and selling of saltwater fish.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on Tuesday announced the citations issued during "Operation West Palm Snook."

According to the FWC, investigators posed as fishermen in September and sold about 32 pounds of snook from a state research lab to several restaurants and retailers in the West Palm Beach area.

Investigators said they returned to the businesses last month and again sold restricted and protected fish, including snook.

Citations were issued to employees at King's Super Buffet Chinese Gourmet and China Taste in West Palm Beach, Peppermint Thai and Sushi in Royal Palm Beach and Kingdom Buffet in Lake Worth.

The buying and selling of snook and Goliath grouper is prohibited in Florida.

Sounds like entrapment to me, but thats Ok for them to do I guess. Maybe the people should say they were just seeing if they would really sell illegal fish to them.
Maybe so they wouldn't get caught selling those, stolen, illegal fish they turned the tables on them.
Thats why its best to stay clean at all times......
