there is a possible beach record in the near future :D
All i can say is keep that bait fresh and pray to the fish gods for that monster to swallow it whole and hold on till almost
spooled then hurry hurry tie a loop in the line hurry clip this line to it, hurry cut that line away ok we're good, oh shit he still wont stop now down to a 1/8th spool on the second 16/0 now what do we do. well there is about 10 wraps of line left on the spool then the line goes slack (you think to your self no no no it cant end this way) you reel and reel and reel oh shit she's still there you got the line tight and she is headed straight to you, you've got her whooped now. she's only about 150yards out from the beach now and she is still coming in, damn here comes a weekend warrior hauling ass down the beach line, you yell and try to wave him out and he just waves back as he passes by you. now just as quick as it started it is over. It just was not meant to be, (Well that's what you keep telling your self) bull shit!!!

I've lost way to many sharks to boaters... I will never know what the biggest shark I ever hooked was.

The other day I was at the beach and what do I see..another pilchard flipping clown in a boat decked out like blair wiggins with thigh high khakis, orvis wear, and $2000 worth of spaghetti noodle spinning gear and not a clue. He is speeding through the no wake zone, so I yelled at him..I don't think these clowns should be allowed to do what they want..most of them are rude and inconsiderate about disturbing land based as well as other boat fishermen, and all of them don't have a clue. He was also almost in close enough to catch my line. Several hours later, I had 3 rods set up, one dropped short about 100 yds, I had two rods out about 250-300 yds. This bass pro shop catalog model looking bozo comes zipping down the shoreline at about 40 mph 50 feet from shore, running over all 3 of my lines and emptying each spool. Deliberately. Not to mention it was braid, expensive to replace. I would give anything in this world to get my hands on that pilchard flipping googan. The only consolation I have is that I catch fish standing on the beach bigger than him nearly everytime I go out if the conditions are right, and that his prized catches are what I use for bait. Also, I have been praying that all that braid ended up getting wrapped up in his prop and perhaps some damage was done that costs more to fix than for me to replace my line.

had a guy in flats boat empty out my 14/0 that had powerpro in it on big carlos pass cuz he wasnt paying attention. Ive resorted to fighting back now. If close enough I will throw a sinker then when they get close enough take there boat lic down and call it into either fwc, sheriffs office, or coast guard. just tell them that there being unsafe not following rules on the water.

There is a reason I keep a casting reel with a 12 foot rod and a 6 ounce weight. A sinker to the head hurts don't it.

When I was in highschool we used to shoot 6-8oz egg sinkers, handfulls of small weights, ladyfish heads, etc. in my waterballoon launcher at the jerks on rental boats and waverunners that thought it was fun to buzz the pier repeatedly and drive in circles just outta casting reach taunting us, pissing off the entire pier.
