Anyhow We Did Have The Board Walk And The Water Line Did Come Up To It At High Tide. To Get Back To The Story, Rene Knew That If You Had A Ray As Bait And A Shark That Strikes It Solid Is A Monster. J.D. Hammer And Myself Almost Had It This Month At WPB, ( Big Baits + Solid Strikes = Big Hammer! ) Anyway Rene 16/0 Go's Off Solid And In His Typicial Fashon, Set Up And Starts Cursing Off The "Dam" Hammer Because It Doesn't Act Like It Knows Its Hooked. Continues To Pull Line Off The Reel Almost Dead Locked. Rene Had To Get To The Fishing Pier Because The Hammer Was, 1: Pulling Him Into The Surf. 2: The Hammer Was Heading North Up The Beach And If You Got Your Line Or Wire Wrap Up In The Swimming Bouy It Was All Over. 3: If it Decided To Swim For Goverment Cut And Get Around The Jettys Its Going Bybe. I Believe Shannon Had To Carry Rene Up The Rocks A Couple Of Times Because Rene Almost Got Pulled Into The Water. All In All Not A Easy Task! Rene Finally Got The Hammer Inside The Swiming Bouy And Only Saw It Once. The Distint Hammer Head On The Sandbar And Syckle Dorsil. And With A Flick Of Its Massive Tail It Went Out Again! This Time Getting His Line On The Bouy. So In Typicial Rene Fashion He Would Not Give Up That Easy. He Waited For The Life Guards To Come On Duty And Ask Them To Hold Off The Swimmers So He Could Bring In The Hammer, Thinking That It Drowned And Was Wraped Up On The Bouy. Following His Line Out And Going Under Water To Retreave The Prize Fish He Only Found His Rig. It Bent A U Hook Which Is Equial On Both Sides Barb To Shaft Straight. Lord Only Knows What Kind Of Animal Can Do That. A Awsome Speciem Of Power That Hammer Possed And It Earned Its Freedom That Night, So To All Club Members You Never Really Know When The Beast From The Deep Will Come Calling And Test Your Limit...Be Ready!!!
