Delray beach shark fishing in the old days

The beach at Delray was always a very beautiful and secluded place to fish.In the late 70's and early 80's it was a small town of seaside trailer parks ,some old houses with very few mansions on or near the beach.Of couse the world changed and the real estate and building boom affected this area as well as many other seaside towns that we fished in those days,For worse or for better the mansions and hotels are now there to stay and we must always act responsibly when shark fishing especially in these small communities where the locals can become frightened at the sight of a shark caught from the beach.ONE of our new shark club goals is to try to educate all the locals on any beach that we come in contact with while shark fishing and to keep the scientific community involved in what we do so we may have there understanding and cooperation by being involved in there Apex tagging programs. The scientific community can attest to the fact that sharks occur naturally off all the beaches in this state .
