Big hammerhead lost on channel 5 bridge

It all started on a good day of catchin cudas on channel 5 all the way out to sell to the hatains at work and we got so many we ran out of room so i got a few more and the last one was some way in the 35+ range so i wanted to kept it from rotton till my friends got there
its was like 11:00am and they wont be there till 8:00pm so i just put it on a rope and hung it over the side. they got there around 7pm and saw the cuda and i just put it back down in the water not thinking that i was calling king kong in for dinner so ime and my dad were snapper fishing the pileing right at the end when we saw what we thought was a log floating but then we seen the dorsal fin pop out of the water and itcame right over to the cuda and just ate about half of it. we quickly got the rest of the cuda and all we had was a 4/0 wide with 50lb test so we said what the heck. we can get that son of a bi*** up and we rig 10 feet of single stand # 19 wire and three 9/0 hooks to the rest of the cuda and lock the drag down with channel locks and off it went. damn thing grab it right away and slowly swam away my dad hit him hard and thats when it got freaky the shark ran for the gulf and then just stoped and started to swim back and forth. the tide was on our side the shark was fighting us and the rushing full force tide so it tired out and we start to gain our line back. had in the first time and thats when we got our first good look at what kind of shark it was and when we looked over we saw a head and no tail so went to the other side and it tail was sticking out a 12+ hammerhead on a 4/0 but it was short lived by a smokeing run for the gulf . this went on for abot 3 hours get it to the bridge and out again the 4th time i lowered a gaff trying to get it in the mouth but it was not likeing it so he went under the bridge and out the other side swimming towards Cuba this time and after 10 min. the line broke.wish i had my camcorder but never had it till that day happened now we take two. all in all was one of those day you cant forget. o ya this happened in march or may.
