I just run a swivel to 2-3ft of 130-200lb mono to a big non-weighted treble. If it isnt heavy enough for you to flip cast then add some electrical tape to the treble hook. I think my treble hook is three 9/0 or 10/0 hooks so u know the size reference. Weighted seems to scare more but again it depends on your area. Oh and mudrays to me are spookier than cownose, cownose are flat out stupid.

Tourists freaked when it started screaming drag! One guy tried to tell me its illegal to keep a manta ray for bait! "Yep! Good thing its a cownose ray!" he makes a face. Another guy said "thats poaching". Seriously? How can these guys be so ignorant? Likely called the cops. No wonder FWC shows up on my beach.
you sure thats not a eagle ray. i see some spots. lol. some people are just retarded and dont know any thing. we had one lady complain she couldnt see out lines and that we cant fish the public beach. we all had hi vis line and were on a private beach.

DUDE! THEY DO THE EXACT SAME THING TO ME! I still cant figure out why! I always tighten my line up and bump em with it, they usually freak out. Steve always gets all pissed and starts yelling at em "YOU REALIZE YOUR SWIMMING IN MY LINE RIGHT WTF?!" He flipped out when they told him he doesnt own the beach!
Or what about the tourists that ask you what your fishing for while your holding a 14/0 and rigging up a 20lb cownose on 16/0 hooks and 15ft on #19 wire and when told Shark they laugh and say "Theres no sharks here aye, I swim here aye." Anyone get that one all the time? I just say ok, .
