The ones that move in the area in the spring stay in the area. The largest tiger I landed this season I got her twice, and just 10 days apart. The lemons are definitely territorial. Another capt and I have a lemon shark hole where you can pop one after another....all between 180-280 pounds. By August of this year almost every lemon had one of our hooks hanging out or a tag in it. Same with the blacktips and spinners. But I've never caught the same hammer twice...I think they take off to open ocean after being spooked.
For years, I was using the tags that the state gives us, I never had any replies, I think its because the tags are too small and get pulled out by cobia and remora. I just started using the larger shark tags that are from NOAA this past season, so I'm looking forward to see if any show up next spring.
Awesome video, love them big stripes boatside ,,,,,thanks Capt Chip.I noticed the water is not the clear water we get when catching our sharks in the Bahamas or keys is it always murky or does it clear out certain time of the year? How far out does the water start getting blue?

Thanks William!
The water is usually pretty murky, its never blue nearshore. That dark green water is typical...somedays when the wind is blowing it looks like yoohoo. The farther you get out, the bluer it gets....it starts getting nice around 20 miles out. I wish we had that clear FL water, but those tigers dont mind it.
