Rotten Bait
Anyone ever fished with real rotten bait? lol. I left a cooler full of like 4 bonita's and a nice cuda sitting in my friends backyard last sat and he forgot to replace the ice... so lets say theyre real smelly. Even though it might suck to work with.. do you think bait in this state will improve the amount of hits I get?

That rotten bait may be too soft to stay hooked. If it's a nice cooler & you want to save it, scrub it out, put a couple of cups of bleach in it & fill the rest with water overnight, dump it out, then put a saucer in the bottom of it. Fill the saucer with vanilla extract and leave it overnight. You should be able to get the stink out of your cooler that way.
wth.. i was gunna dump it in the water.. but you said we should save it

Sharks have a very acute sense of smell,,,,,,,,,,and fresh is fresh nothing works like a bloody fresh bait. That rotten stuff will usually drive away anything except a vulture,,,,,,,,, oh and your hands will smell like a bucket of ARSE from handling it.
Throw it out quickly!!!
