if sharks primarily fed on roadkill then it would be, but since theyre looking for marine life thats the bait u use. Although ive heard tales of sharks eating weird baits like that

There was once an angry bull shark, he swam and he swam, chasing mullet and jacks, but they all scrammed. He just couldn't catch any, maybe it was luck. He settled for a sitting duck... Literally! The end.

Just an average fisherman.

Don't settle for roadkill that has been out rotting on the pavement draining out its vital attractive juices..most sharkers will agree with me on this, fresh is best..in my area we have a severe problem with ferrel cats, they crap and crap and crap and crap all over your yard and just won't stop..once they get too big to cuddle their owners let them go stray and they are considered an extreme nuisance down here, and also spread disease..but I've found a use for them..in fact take a look at all my reports on here, half of my sharks since 2010 were not caught using marine life as bait..just kidding..

In all seriousness, this time of year more than likely there is plenty of bait of ALL sizes available wherever you shark fish, particularly in the morning..stick to marine life as mentioned above.

Next time you're out Shark fishing, I dare you to run out 2 baits - road kill bait & marine bait. Then post your results. I've read of old timers using road kill in desperate situations and also some guys using freshly killed chickens. It would be an interesting report - a side by side comparison. I just wouldn't fish with only road kill as bait and risk wasting the time.
