I was wondering if you can refreeze leftover bait in the cooler that u haven't used and still catch sharks and also say I cut off a ray wing and don't use the rest for bait could I take that home and freeze it or would it be bad?

Yes you can to all of the above. Fresh works better but refrozen also works

Ok cool I'm guessing you should only refreeze it like once or it will get soft?

You can refreeze and then save it for a back up bait. Fresh is best but frozen, refrozen works too

I always have some old frozen crap in the freezer if I can't get something fresh... Last time I went off the beach I had a 14in. whiting that had been in the freezer for like 4 months and been refroze a few times... It had a nice run on it before my buddies bonita was touched. Also had a fresh whole ladyfish out and it wasn't touched... I think if they're hungry they'll eat the old stuff just fine.

You can freeze it as many times as you want and it will still catch sharks. Many of my baits were used on their fourth cooler run to the beach and got picked up. Key is they do have a shelf life after soaking. I can usually soak mine 48 hours without having to change it out depending the bait.
