I have used live cuda and the hit came quickly and live bluefish with no results

I think if I had the option I would use live bait 90% of the time or at least on 1 or 2 rods....Problem is I can't always catch bait right away so I keep my freezer stocked. I've used live ladyfish and mullet with quick and hard hits and live pinfish caught me a 6.5ft bull lol.
I feel like you can't go wrong with having both. It's hard catching fresh bait, but always have frozen baits as an alternative helps cut down on lost time soaking baits, and you can even fish for fresh bait while you soak other baits to be productive
