Getting good baits

I've been having trouble catching stingrays I only caught one at night on a flat by a seawall but I've gone through tons of catfish can I catch them off the beach if so what is the best time of day and bait also how can I get decent sized jacks and mackeral for bait?

I catch Jacks off of Longboat pass, and Cortez bridges. Mackerel off of city pier and rod and reel pier. AP Bell also sells fresh jacks

I spear 'em. I never target rays with a rod anymore. when im fishing for sharks ill have a rod out with cutbait for whatever wants it and catch rays and small sharks that way but I always go out during the week and spear rays for that weekend.

Catfish makes great bait for lemon sharks.What I do is fillet the catfish and use the meat for bait.
