whats the best way to get ahold of rays in the keys?
we were just there and hooked and lost two monster southerns use 80 lb test or more because they go straight for under the bridge. go to 7 mile and when the water gets shallow and u see the grass flats youll eventually see a ray swimming snagg his ass and hold on, also long key has a ton but the water is much deeper and the eagle rays are thick like 100 to 300 lbs i wouldnt recommend hooking one of those. also work a tubelure because the cudas are everywhere.

here in tx you can get cut bait and throw it on top of the sand bar.
Take a spin or casting rod you'd use to fish shrimp or pin fish; & throw it out with shrimp on it they'll find it
