For myself, I prefer the Ray over the Bobo. I use Bobo as a last resort due to the fact that the crabs Love the crud out of it.
Even with the Ray cut in half it still retains its blood. I find " Stiring " the ray every hour about 20 feet at a time will let out a cloud of fresh blood and scent.
Of course my favorite bait for me is Mullet. Been Smoked on every one I have ever used. Course I have always used em on 6/0s or lighter reels and gotten spoiled everytime.
I prefer the tough rays too. A "pantyhosed" boni lasts a pretty good while, till it just gets totally washed out. The pantyhose will keep the pinners and crabs at bay but blacktips will shred it up pretty well.
I prefer Rays. Even though I've caught decent sharks on bonita I find that the crabs and smaller sharks pick away at it till theres nothing left but bone.
I'm a big fan of rays. They're a super hearty bait and can hold up to all the crabs and pins in my area.
