Does anyone have a quick method to cast net some bait down in the keys during the day time. I'm looking for less then a dozen of anything to catch anything (non shark). I thought i could freeline or put it on a bobber out my back door. Any suggestion would be helpful. Thank u

I spent 10 min. with the sabiki. I picked up a few yellow looking grunts. Kept them for a few hrs in the room alive. Waited for the sun to set. Tossed one out into the dock light with a small live bait hook. 2 tarpon came by and took a sniff within 3 min. This thick mangrove came out from under the dock and took the bait and tried to go back home. He spent some time above the dock and then I released him.

Nice mangrove Chris.Cast netting mullet should be easy during this time of the year next to the bridges .The schools are usually a lot smaller then what we see up and down the rest of Florida's east coast but they do swing through.Next to the bridge seawalls you can sometimes chum up ballyhoo and catch them with a small gold hook and a small float.Schools of large herring and sometimes pilchards can be caught next to the bridges on sabiki rigs but forget the cast net --not thick enough.
