Over the years we have seen many big reels getting worked over by big sharks and have had our share of spooled reels. Most of the time the shark wins but on occasion we are victorious.BEFORE THE INTERNET NO ONE HAD VIDEOS OR EVEN PICTURES OF THESE CLASSIC BATTLES BIG REELS SMOKING AND LINE BLISTERING OFF AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED , BUT NOW OVER THE LAST DECADE OR SO SHARK FISHERMEN HAVE BEGUN TAKING VIDEO OF THESE IMPRESSIVE EVENTS. West Coast on a 30 pound cow nose. Dropped about 600 yards and pulled hook near the knot. Never had a shot.

You always have a shot ,,,,if you're willing to jump in your kayak and chase it when you're at the knot. That's a bit crazy but I know a handful on here that would .   :geek: :geek: No guts No Glory!!

Id hop in the Kayak and go for a ride any day. I hate losing sharks!!!!! And Im crazy enough to go after one in a kayak. You just need a very large sea anchor or drift bag on the back to continue to create drag and you will stop the beast eventually.
