I had the editors of Sport Fishing magazine contact me a few days ago about the Mako caught by Will Smith with the help Bill Dunlop(firedawg) .They asked some questions about the catch and I filled them in as best I could and gave them some background on our style of BIG GAME FISHING.They were very impressed and asked permission to use the story and pictures and I responded that as long as it would shed POSITIVE LIGHT on our sport it would be No Problem and they wrote a nice story about the very impressive catch.

Wow! Great to see some positive thought towards the sport whom which we all love. I was very surprised as I read this, however, it was a terrific article. Hard work really does pay off!!
As Long As I've Been Sharkfishing ( Early 80's ) Thats The First Magazine Write Up I Read That Gives Our Sport A Positive Outlook. The Only Other Time We Got Good P.R. Was Back In The Late Early 90's When We Would Call Local News Stations & Papers About Our Catch. I For One Hope This Is The Start Of A Positive Outcome On The Sport Of Sharkfishing. And As Anglers We NEED To Make Sure When We Sharkfish In Public To Make Sure To Handle The Shark As Minual And Ensure The Survival Of The Animal.
