Why named "Wont Wade"

I've sometimes wondered why we have selected the ficticious that we use . In my case , I wont wade the baits out further than knee deep, having seen sharks within 8 ft. of me , when just knee deep in the surf . Above knee deep it's too difficult to run , if need be . Also , last summer , my brother-in-law who likes to play the macho roll, had waded out into St . George sound about 200 yds , to where the water was chest deep , carrying a shark bait . Without any warning he was bumped by a skark , followed by a large swirl as the fish turned . He dropped the bait , and took off swimming for shore , as the water was too deep to run . As he reached shallow water and stood up , the shark made a second pass at him , but fortunately didn't bite. This time he got to see the fish , a Bull about 7 ft in length . He dodged the bullit , on that occasion . Consequently this just reinforced my "wont wade" attitude . If any of you would post your reasons , it might make for interisting reading. :D : :D

Ill wade or swim but not with a shark bait but then again bulls are very territorial so even without a bait they'll hit you lol I've grabbed a 8 foot bull by the gills and drag him out of waist deep water lol

Caution is the best way to protect your life,,,,i'll wade in clear water during daylight but certainly not at night or in murky water.A big bull shark with it's ladenwith a load of testosterone can take off your leg or or arm or can rip you apart to the point where you bleed out and die before you can reach the emergency room.Play it safe by staying out of the water and on your kayak, rowboat, surfboard or raft when deploying bait. This sport does not need an incident where one of our fishermen is badly mauled and our detractors have more amunition to feed the news media and local lawmakers quick to site 'Public Safety Issues' to shut down the beaches to our style of fishing.

2 weeks ago my buddy Alec and I went out on the boat, we needed bait so i jumped in with my gig and filled the boat with fish. the last time i went down i pelted a spade fish that i kind of just shot for the fun of it but it didn't go past the bard so i just took it off and let it go with the current (this was at stump pass in right by the beach in about 6 feet of water). When i surfaced looking at land i noticed splashing and a dorsal fin sticking out of the water and i turned into a deer looking at headlights! I didn't realize what was going on until Alec screamed SHARK from the boat and i thought hmm....lets try to climb on the barnacle covered dock /=. an 8 foot Tiger or bull (still undecided) rammed the fish i had just speared and almost beached itself chomping on it. the funny thing is the head of the fish got thrown on the beach and a Crane started pecking it

I got lucky, the water was very murky and the shark was only about 10 feet away from me. I doubt it would have attacked me anyway but things happen that really shouldn't
