Small catch, but big for me, the new guy.

Almost new to the sport of fishing except for fishing off the cat walk with frozen shrimp as a kid. Until 3-20-11, I was in the 5lb club and that was a sail cat and a stingray. I talked to some one named Click Click at an event in Wabasso, he got me interested in the sport. March 20th I caught a 40" Bull shark in the river in Vero beach I saw him curising around while fishing and caught him on finger mullet. He wrapped my line around a pylon I had to go in the water, while my eight year old son Brock took the pole and gave the line slack, I shimmed up the pylon with the line in my hand and succeded in getting in unwrapped, It took about 30 minuts total to get him in, I had a Daiwa DF100a spinning reel with 240 yards of 40lb YO ZURI line. I measured him at 40" I went to grab the leader to weigh him and noticed the snap had come undone. How do I put the picture on the site, Thanks, Randy.

Bull sharks are fun any size to me: from 5lbs to 350lbs , if you have a photobucket account you can copy the image link on you photo after you uploaded it on there, or if the pic is saved to your computer make a post or edit your post and attach a file by clicking browse and finding it in your computer.

Just an average fisherman.

I do not have a photobucket account, I might try to find out how to get one. It was a cool little shark, I didnt know they were so smart, when I pulled tight he would go under the boats so I would give him slack and he would go out in the channel. I had to eventually lift my rod over the mangroves along the shoreline about 75 feet before I found a clear spot to pull him in, I had to replace my line because it fraided on the barnicals from the pylon it wrapped around. Can not wait for summer when I can put a 1/2 gallon jug in the ocean for a bobber and let it go out on the out going tide. Thanks for the info, slasherx4.
