New to forums from fort lauderdale
Hi my name is Carlos. I'm new to the forums. I just picked up shark fishing again with a friend from work. I use to go with my grandpa 10 years ago and stopped after he died. I am however new to shore fishing. Went this past weekend and I have to admit I had way more fun on shore than offshore. we set up on friday night at 11:00 and stayed until 5:30 on fort lauderdale beach. We pulled in two. Just need to find a beach I can fish during the day. Here are the two that we got
first was this 4 1/2 foot spinner

I fish in pompano a lot, you can fish there during the day as long as you are north or south of the pier by a couple hundred yards. The beach area by the pier is the municipal beach and you can fish there since it is guarded for swimmers. I assume it is the same way around ft. Lauderdale.
They have signs up by commercial stating you cant shark fish. I do not know if that is actually enforced.
If you take A1A south of Oakland Park, make a left on 23rd street. There are 4 metered parking spaces right at the sand, bring coins. You can park there during the day, but not at night. Perhaps you can go back after the meter maid goes home but one day I was there and they watched me pack up.
I think you can only pay up to a certain time, then it is a waste of coins so be careful when loading up the meter.
thats a nice lemon bro what did u catch it on???
