Well hello to all members. I am in naples and I shark fish frequently. I will admit with no-shame I am a newbie to shark fishing but not to regular pier or surf fishing. I recently bought a 9/0 on a star aerial 6ft rod rated 30-80lb. I have caught a few nice ones and its as follows
5 or more 3-6ft black tips
1 7ft lemon
2 bulls one 7.5ft and other was a little larger "wasn't on my rod but helped out"
2 nurse sharks under 5ft and
many, many 1-3ft atlantic sharpnose and blacktips
oh and a gazillion bonnet heads at naples pier
Anyways I am open to learning more about this fun sport. Thanks for reading and hopefully meet a few members on here sometime. I have my own kayak, and takle.

welcome aboard on this site you will find many people who live by u or are will to travel to fish with you, what I've learned is that the more you travel the better your chance is to catch more and bigger sharks good luck.
