Greetings

Hello to all. Just happened across this place while trying to read up on some LBSF history. This is all new to me and have only been into it for about 1 year, and the information and stories I have read so far are entrancing. I never knew about much of this stuff..a year ago I didn't even know people were seriously targeting sharks and other big game from land like it is. I never knew about the history of it all, I've lived in FL my whole life and feel like I've missed out on so much..I guess that is why I've spent so much time at it the last year, trying to make up for lost time. What is most interesting to me about this site is not even all the good fishing techniques and info..its the stories and credentials of the legends featured here, people like Rene and Hammer and Herb Goodman..that is how I ended up here. It is amazing at what they have done in their lives and all the people they have touched. I've always been into baseball, and loved to play when I was a kid. I used to read about baseball history sometimes, when I wasn't playing. Reading some of the stories here made me feel like I did back then. This is my sport now and it has its own Babe Ruths and Mickey Mantles and Hank Aarons as I have learned...its truly amazing. It really is an amazing sport, and it takes unique people to be the best.
