HI yall I sharked for a year and a half in North Topsail nc when I lived in the marine corps during my last year I shark fished almost every night did pretty well a lot of sandbars black tips sharp noses and one tiger :) got a battle 8000 two senator 9/0 a 10/ and a 12/0 all have 1400lbs of hundred pound power pro :) now im back in Cleveland for a bit starting college do a lot of Steelhead Salmon musky pike and walleye fishing. But im heading to tamp next year to start my marine biology degree at University of Tampa. ONCE IM DOWN THERE IM NEVER LEAVING. I got a upcoming trip to Sebastion Inlet in a week ANY TIPS which baits work best in NC bluefish was the golden bait and best most drops of 2-300yrd produced the most sharks as well as short drops in deep guts I fished inlets a lot I know the curretns are horribkle but a 10 or 15lb rock with a break away does the trick. Whats running this time of year around that area ? ?

Welcome to the site! I'm actually fishing Sebastian the Monday after your trip, so leave some shark for me! When you get a run, you'll most likely be pulling on blacktip, lemon and bull sharks, but don't rule anything out. Sebastian has the means to attract a Titan. The bluefish are still pretty active in the area, plenty of rays too. Either would make a great bait. Break a leg out there and post pics!
