Chicago Boys headed South

Howdy Folks,

My names Ryan, my buddies and I have been avid sports fishermen in the Midwest US for almost our entire 28 years on this earth. 3 years ago we headed south to Daytona/Flagler area in hopes of catching, tagging, and releasing some bigger gamefish (both the finned and bikinied variety). We thought we were pretty well prepared with our kayak, heavy duty spinning rods (350 yards of line) and the knowledge we collected hastily from other forums. Short summary, we weren't. We didn't catch a thing, from mullet to hammerhead.

Part of this is because we chased tail (gill-less variety) and part of this is lack of adequate research and preparation. This year we are headed to Daytona in April and insist upon doing better.

That being said thanks for welcoming me to the community. Ill most definitely be posting in various threads looking for answers to questions that arise and I welcome you to direct some advice and questions on how we're preparing.
