Caught using an Avet LX with 50lb power pro braid. hour and 45 min fight. used a measuring tap and is exactly 12 1/2ft.

You got by far the biggest shark I have heard or seen caught on an Avet LX. I have to ask did you have run the boat to him a few times to keep from getting dumped? I dont think I would want that battle from land or pier
Awesome ! Haha , an I didn't chase him at all, I just locked down the drag and adventually slowed down and towed the boat 2 1/2 miles away from we're I hooked up to him.
There are some pretty awesome tuna and marlin on the small avets, but as far as sharks go, I think you got somethin' to post up on avet's page.
