I know that tiger sharks aren't to common around here but what would be the best time of year to try to get one of the beach on the west coast?

Most of the time, the water temp on the West Coast will probably be too cold for Tigers. They are very prevalent around Hawaii, but that is much warmer than the West coast. September is going to be when the sea is at it's warmest on the West coast, you would also have to factor in local seasonal currents too.

If I had to guess, I would say that the water temp is probably too cold for them most of the time, apart from possibly the very southern part of California. They are very prevalent in Hawaii, but that has much warmer waters. If they do visit the West coat it is likely to be September, when the water temp will be at it's warmest. That coast is affected very much by the cooling effects of oceanic currents and temperatures can vary.

I believe he meant west coast of Florida........

California gets tiger sharks on the rare occasion, I'm surprised they didn't spot any this year, just about every other warm water species made it here (including but not limited to triple tail, wahoo, whale shark, blue marlin, and hammerheads).

It's a carcaradon carcharias. It's a great white shark.

Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him.

I'm not talkin' 'bout pleasure boatin' or day sailin'. I'm talkin' 'bout workin' for a livin'. I'm talkin' 'bout sharkin'!
