Do any of you tape your hooks and wire leader?

Does using electrical tape on your hooks and wire really help increase your chance of getting hooked up? Some people say the sharks will be differed when they sense it. (We all know sharks have crazy senses to electrical impulses) so has anyone tested this?

As far as using electrical tape it has made no difference on hookups for me The only difference it's made for me is keeping my hooks and leaders cleaner longer.

I stopped using the tape. I have missed some hookups but I have not had any baits picked up and dropped so I assume the tape does not matter.

I tape my hooks and wire. I don't think it really makes a differnece. I havent lost a fish due to the tape so I still tape them.

I used to add electrical tape on my hooks and wire connections for a while but noticed it was not necessary to add to catch sharks.

Try this.... Take a bare hook and bite it and see how it feels. Then tape it and bite it. There's a big difference in my opinion. And as MrAnsel said they stay cleaner. Always tape em up!
